How to use it:
Once you have downloaded and installed the program, and configured Outlook Express to not automatically check your messages, start up Mailwasher. It will check your mail then, and at any interval you specify. It will bring up a list of all your mail, and show you which emails may be spam.
Categories are: Normal, Virus, Possibly virus, Possibly spam, Probably spam, Chain letter, Blacklisted.
You have the option to delete or return any of these emails. Then, click on "Process Mail". This actually deletes any spam mail before you get it, and starts up Outlook Express. Just click on Send/Receive and any mail that made it past Mailwasher's filter will be downloaded into your inbox.
You can keep both mailwasher and Outlook Express open--Just remember to "process mail" in Mailwasher before you "Send/Receive" in Outlook Express.
Other nice features:
 Bounce back unwanted e-mails so it looks as if your email address is not valid. This will make the sender think your address is no longer active so your name can be removed from their list.
Blacklist. Any e-mails you bounce back get their senders details put on the blacklist for easy removal if they come back. You can even set it to automatically bounce and delete blacklisted e-mails, or whole domains off the server. Plus, MailWasher can use external blacklists such as ORDB, Spam Cop, VISI or you can specify your own.
Friends List. Add your friends email addresses to MailWasher and they will always be recognised. You can even hide your friends from the screen so the spam is easy to recognise.
Preview. You can preview the message in your email to see what the sender has to say before downloading it. Just double click on the message.
Filtering. Effective filtering to automatically spot spam, plus it uses a customisable list of blacklisted e-mail senders and/or regular expressions to filter out potential spammer addresses and messages.
Other features: Check mail at different intervals. Don’t check mail at certain times. Play a sound when an email arrives, or be notified visually. Email log.

How to use it:
Once you have downloaded and installed the program, start up Outlook Express. It will step you through a few configuration steps. The program appears as a new Toolbar in Outllok Express. When it finds a spam message, it notifies you and moves it to your deleted items folder. Or you can have it just highlite the message in red, flag the message, or mark the message as read.
Other nice features:
 Provides multiple quarantine actions to choose from including up to 10 different actions, such as deleting mail, flagging mail, marking mail as read, and others.
Setup additional Friends and Enemies lists to allow you the maximum protection from un-solicited commercial email or even subscription lists and much more.
Bounce Email: Simply click a button and spammers are sent an automated message informing them that your email address “is not a valid email address on the server”.

How to use it:
Download and install the program. Start it up and click "Scan Now", then click "Next". When it gets finished scanning, click "Next". It will display a list of item spyware components it has found. Select the ones you want to delete, or right click on the list and choose "Select all objects". Click "Next", then OK. When finished, close the program and then reboot.
